Kim is co-founder of the ‘Inspiring Science’ organisation providing science consultancy and science workshops to primary school children. She is a STEM Learning Education Improvement Partner.
STEM Learning is the UK’s largest provider of education and careers support in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
STEM provides resources to deliver the primary science National Curriculum In England for children aged 5 to 11 years.
The learning emphasis is on children finding out through fun science activity as illustrated by the following STEM engaging experiments to carry out at home, or in school.
Links with LBL
Kim’s sterling lead on children learning science through hands on enquiry in fun and engaging ways resonates with LBL’s Communication Theme to widen children’s experience and ability in all the different ways in which we communicate and interact through the arts and the sciences.
The Communication Theme is one of the nine LBL themes designed as a radical alternative to current subject based approaches to learning with its plethora of addons.
